Favourite Outfits From 2014

This is fairly late.. and by fairly I mean 1/4 of the year has gone by and I'm just getting around to it now. But hey, better late than never? I just started feeling comfortable enough with myself after my pregnancy by early 2014, so it wasn't until about March last year that I started to take style photos. A year later, it's definitely my favourite part about blogging. And although, I don't have all the money in the world, a semi-pro photographer buddy, the right body structure, or an outrageous sense of style, I am proud of my style posts and how far I've come with my self love and body acceptance.

Here is a few of my favourite outfits from 2014!

Autumn Transitions
Tracking Bigfoot
Safari Pink & Self Love
Lady In The Garden
Rocks & Stripes
Cemetery Trail
Birthday Dress!
Honey & Anchor

For as much as I love sharing my style and favourite articles of clothing, I do hope my readers appreciate it, too! Would you like to see more style posts, or less? Tell me in the comments!

October In Review

Well, here it is! November has begun, or as I like to call it - CHRISTMAS TIME!!!

Don't get me wrong, Halloween is obviously the best time of year, but I can't help but morph into a little Christmas elf as soon as November hits. We've already been blessed with a tiny bit of snow today! I'm so excited because this will be the first year Josie will actually be excited for, and appreciate, Christmas. Before I dive head first into Gift ideas and Holiday decor and all the yummy Christmas treat recipes, let's recap October. And boy, it was a good one! Here's what we've been up to this month:

Jesse's Dad came to visit! George and his partner, Uschi, moved to New Brunswick a few years back (where George was born and raised) so it's always really great seeing them! Josie had so much fun with her Pa Pere and Oma, and we got to catch up on a lot.

Josie is forming sentences. That's right - real sentences. She's also so close to potty training. So proud of my girl! It's funny the things you get really giddy about when you have children, haha!

Jesse's been getting the house ready for Christmas. He's already put the outdoor lights up. I can't wait to start decorating.

Sonic Highways. As a big, big fan of Dave Grohl and everything he does, it's an understatement to say I was eager to start watching his new HBO series, Sonic Highways. It's on it's third episode, and so far its amazing. Each episode focuses on one city in the US and goes deep into the musical history of each place and how it's influenced music in general, and how its influenced Dave in his career. It's absolutely amazing learning about where everything came from. I love everything music history related so this show has been really important to me. I'm so excited for Dave and the Foo Fighters, and I'm so proud of them.

Music Mondays. Speaking of music, I have to mention how happy I am to be doing a new series called Music Mondays, where each week I share a band or artist that is speaking to me lately. I already have a few planned out. I could talk about music until your brains explode.

Here's my favourite posts from October:

Autumn Transitions
Good Habits For Healthy Nails
Loaded Nacho Potato Skins
Honey & Anchor
HiBerry Farm

Hope your October was as good as mine, and here's to a great November!

AUGUST IN REVIEW

The only reason I can't believe that it's September already, is because of how much Josie has grown! I'm used to time flying by these days but it's just so weird seeing Josie so big all of the sudden. She will be 9 months on the 11th.

What Josie's Been Doing:

  • CRAWLING. That's right, she started crawling on Friday. I can't believe it!
  • Eating solids and normal food. She really loves potato soup.
  • Growing almost all her front teeth, 3 and counting!
  • Dancing and recognizing songs, sounds, and names.

What We've Been Doing:

  • We finally painted the nursery and the craft room. They are the same colour but so what, who cares?
  • Started decorating the nursery. I have so many ideas for it! Right now she just has this really cool pom pom corner (which I hope to do a tutorial this month for) and a shelf full of stuffed animals.
  • Planning our trip to Toronto! I'm so excited!
  • Working on my new wardrobe. I know it just seems gluttonous and show off-y, but I'd really like to share that in a post soon, you know, the before and after of what is my wardrobe. You'd be amazed at the difference.
  • Jesse's company is finally building their first house, from start to finish. It's pretty awesome to see them do something like that, they're growing as a business, really fast I might add. So proud of them!
  • Caught up on Breaking Bad. I don't know why the heck we weren't watching this from the beginning, and now I'm sad it's almost over!

My favourite posts from this month:

I love coming up with new columns for the blog and expanding more on things that I enjoy talking about. I hope to do more 5 Reasons To Follow, Currently Crushing, What She Wore and more new ideas I have roaming around this noggin' of mine. September should be really fun!
