JOSIE'S MILESTONES | I SPY A....TOOTH!

Josie's been teething for what seems like forever. She finally broke gums and one popped up over night. A couple days later, the one beside it popped up, too. The only problem is she never lets me look at it and when I try and feel her gums for more she bites me! I've been trying to take a photo for a week now, to no avail. But, the other day at pool time, she was a bucket of giggles and I snapped a few shots of those little buggers!

Also, isn't her laughing smile so friggin' adorable? She is absolutely in love with her little pool, she is constant giggles and smiles when she's in the water.

I'm so excited for her next few weeks because she is really trying to crawl, and practising sitting on her own very well. Soon I'll be complaining about how I can't keep with her anymore!

Josie's Milestones :: First Pool Time

Happy Thursday! Hope everyone's having a great 4th of July so far. I thought I'd share some photos with you.

I don't know why it's taken me this long to get Josie a pool - but man was it worth the wait. She had so much fun she didn't want to get out, even when she got tired. I took a few (and by few I mean a freakish amount) photos of the adventure to share. And if any of you follow my Instagram, you've seen the video. I kind of went a little crazy.

My mom had this floating star with a leaf shade on it from when my niece was little, and thank god, because it was really nice to just play with her instead of hold her up the whole time. She seemed to love it too.

Thumb sucking is a sure sign of a tired Josie. But she'd be damned if you were taking her out of that pool!

I don't know why this face happened. Maybe she was mean muggin' me, most likely it was the sun, but I think it's hilarious!

"I love the pool, Mom."

Canada Day

Totally forgot to update yesterday because we had a big day. Josie had a lot of firsts this weekend (more on that later), including her first Canada Day. We had pool time fun, a BBQ and enjoyed the festivities down town before the fire works. Unfortunately, Josie didn't make it that far to see the fire works, but she probably wouldn't have liked them anyway.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and holiday!

Also, today is the last day to enter my June Giveaway, so hurry quick, you can enter as many times as you like! Winner will be announced tomorrow by Noon.

Josie Is 6 Months!

I can't believe how fast the time has gone by, it feels like I was just in the hospital the other day cradling my new born baby. Yesterday, she turned six months old! Here are a couple of my favourite photos from this month of her (via my phone because I live my life through Instagram).

The one on the top right was from today before our walk. The straps are all messed up because I am constantly adjusting them to cater to her ever growing body!

She can now roll around, say Mama, Nana and almost Da Da. She's taught herself to laugh from down in her gut and scream at the top of her lungs. She tries to crawl so bad but can't quite figure it out yet. And even though she's been doing it since 2 months, she sleeps a full 12 hours a night without feedings. I am so blessed to have such an easy, good baby. She practically takes care of herself!

I can't wait for the next six months and when she turns one, which I'm sure will feel like it's tomorrow.

Josie's Milestones :: A Mom, A Mama, A Momma Mom

Josie's been babbling for a couple of months now. Nothing coherent by any means, the odd time she'd blurt out things that resembled Nana and we'd joke that every time she cried she was crying for my Mom and not me. But the other day as we played alone together in the living room I could have sworn she said "A mom, a mama", so I rushed to tell my mom and Jesse and they were hesitant to believe me because she babbles a lot. But then she flat out said "Mama" to Jesse and our friend Derek and ever since then everything has been "A mama, a mom, mamamamamama, mom mom mom, momma, ma".

Pretty much the most amazing feeling ever, I might add.

Josie's Milestones :: Rolling Over

This week has been quite a week for Josie - a new house, new adventures and she finally learned how to roll on her own! For about two weeks now I've come into her room in the morning and found her flipped over in the corner of the crib, extremely proud of herself with a giant grin on her face. I had never actually seen her roll over yet though. Finally last night on the living room floor she rolled in every direction she could, travelling to every toy she could find!

I'm so excited because this means she'll be getting ready to crawl very soon!

Looks like we're finally about to get some rain. It's been really hot and dry this week here. Our flowers are just screaming for some moisture! How has the weather been for you?
