Honey & Anchor

Oh man, I cannot and will never get over how gorgeous Southampton looks in Autumn. I've lived here for 26 years and it still takes my breath away. The rail trail is the prettiest way to take a bike ride next to the shore road, which is winding road that hugs the coast of our beach. I can't decide which is my favourite trail to take of all time, but the rail trail definitely takes the cake in from September to November. Right now everything is rich golds and oranges. It's been pretty mild this week too, which makes for gorgeous bike rides.

Okay, let's talk about this skirt. Isn't it amazing?! Since I am pretty obsessed with everything about the oceans and seas, I picked this skirt up as soon as I laid eyes on it. It's even more gorgeous in person than in photos. It has a thick black sash sewn into the waist, but as you can see I don't like to wear it that way, I'd remove it if it weren't for the cute bow it makes in the back. I don't wear this skirt too often because I'm scared of wrecking it! It has been in my closet for months and definitely has become one of my favourite pieces.

These wedges are a quick second. I bought them the other day at - you guessed it - Walmart! People keep asking me where I've been getting my shoes, and are shocked when I say where I got them, but, the truth is, Walmart always has a great selection of flats, wedges and heels for seriously low prices. Most of them last a great while, you just have to be choosy when it comes to material. These velvet wedges are SO comfortable. Best purchase ever.

This quickly turned into what sounds like a product review, but it really wasn't. I just love a good skirt, and low priced shoes. Who doesn't? Do you have a favourite piece of clothing you tend to keep safe in your closet? What are your thoughts on Walmart clothes/shoes? Discuss in the comments below, I'd love to hear what you think!

  1. What a drool worthy trail! I mean, holy cow!
These images are stunning (and so are you)
I am obsessed with the ocean too, and have wanted an octopus tattoo on my chest for as long as I can remember - but my husband is not so inclined. May I live vicariously through yours?

    1. Lol! I got my squid almost a decade ago on a whim. They're such magical creatures. Most of my tattoos are ocean related. My next one is a shell. You should just get one!

  2. Those yellow leaves and your yellow cardigan... AMAZING! And I love everything nautical too so I'm digging your tattoos and skirt. Oh my god, you're perfect? I can't deal with this!!!
