meet the sponsor // side street style

Hello!
We are a creative couple who are also parents to an awesome little man. We love to travel, eat good food, enjoy the outdoors and indulge in our passion for fashion and interiors while attempting to be great modern parents. John is a traditional barber and Laura is a snap happy kind of girl. At the moment we are renovating our house and looking forward to a summer filed with music, festivals, adventures and camping.

What drew you to blogging and what is your favourite part about it?
A couple of years ago I was paging through a magazine and there was an article about blogging and street style and I wanted to know more and the idea grew and went from there.

Is there any particular topic you like to write about most?
The great thing about having a lifestyle blog is you can cover a lot of different topics but our favourites are Interiors, travel, fashion and natural parenting.

What is the weirdest thing you do or enjoy (habit, item, activity, etc)?
We love spending time outdoors exploring new places, as well as baking, looking through thrift shops and crafting.

Our life ethos:
Life is an adventure and if you don't try you will never know.

What is the most recent recipe you've discovered and drooled over?
Making natural energy fruit and nut balls for healthy treats. Also loving anything with Kale at the moment.

If you could only wear one type of clothing/outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably the classic white tee with rolled up skinny jeans and Sperry top-siders and Ray Ban wayfarers.

What is your favourite and least favourite part about motherhood so far?
Motherhood is by far the most rewarding and fulfilling thing there is, the love you feel for you child is like no other in the world and when they learn something new it makes your soul smile. The hardest thing is trying to deal with a tired toddler, the tantrums, food fights and general disorganisation that comes with parenting.

So far, where is your favourite place you've traveled to and explain why?
A few years ago I took a cargo ship from Cape Town in South Africa to the UK, it took 28 days and for 5 nights it stopped over at St Helena, an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that you can only get to by boat, it's more than 2000miles from the nearest land mass and is considered to be one of the most remote places in the world. It was a real privilege to have the opportunity to say there and explore it's fascinating landscape.

Most importantly, what is your favourite ice cream flavour?
Oooh either Mint Choc Chip or Coconut.
