A Lush Review :: Big Shampoo

The Product: Big is a sea salt based shampoo geared towards giving mega volume to limp hair. Packed with sea salt, seaweed, citrus juices, avocado butter and coconut oil, this shampoo is sure to give your flat hair a kick in the butt.

How To Use: Work into a lather in your hair and rinse thoroughly, just like normal shampoo.

Pros:

• I have the flattest, limpest hair ever and this shampoo left it so voluminous and shiny.
• You don't have to use it every time you shampoo your hair, it keeps your hair squeaky clean for awhile
• It smells AMAZING, like the fresh beachy breeze on a sunny day
• Really great for scalp massages

Cons:

• Been known to fade coloured hair, but not that I noticed (and I dye my hair black)
• Gave me a bit of dandruff
• Adds a bit of static to your hair once dry

Worth It?: At $26.95 a pot it seems a bit steep for shampoo, but it goes a long way and over all I think it's 100% worth it if you have hair like mine and don't mind a harsh product on your scalp.

The Verdict:  This is by far my favourite Lush product and I will buy it again and again. I strongly recommend it to anyone, limp hair or not. Especially if you enjoy Lush's beach or citrus scents. So good, they even made it a Gorilla Perfume!

Tips:

• You can make this pot of shampoo last months. I'm talking coin sized amounts for each use - it lathers great and it will be enough to cover long hair (mine is fairly long)
• Pair with Big Solid Conditioner and your hair will never be the same
• To avoid dry scalp or frizzy hair, use once a week as opposed to every wash. This helps the product last a long longer as well. 
• Ignore the reviews on Lush that complain about poor lather, they're not doing it right. This is the easiest shampoo to lather in my opinion.
• The pot suggests ditching the blow dryer, and with good reason. This shampoo gives you enough volume and blow drying doesn't help with the frizz or static.
