GET TO KNOW ME // A LITTLE QUIZ

I used to always do little quizzes like this when I was younger. So, when I saw one being done on Little Chief Honeybee, I couldn't resist. 

1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

I usually go pee. Then I take dexter outside, make Josie's breakfast bottle and get her chair ready. Then I go get Josie, she's usually already awake playing in her crib. We change her bum and then she eats breakfast while I post for my blog and read my blog roll. Sometimes there's food and tea somewhere in there for me, but not all the time.

2. What is the 3rd picture on your phone? Share it! 

This is from when Josie was about a month or two, at the old cottage we used to live in. It's one of my favourite photos of her so I'll never delete it, even though I only have an 8g phone so I have to delete photos often.

3. What TV show are you most excited about returning this Fall?

New Girl! I am addicted to that show. Also, Walking Dead because all of my other shows have ended this summer/fall and it's pretty much the only one I have left. 

4. What is something really popular that you secretly (or not so secretly) loathe?

There are a lot of things that I loathe in popular culture, so there's not really one that stands out. I wish I could answer this better without sounding like a total bitch.

5. Do you have any pets? Tell us about them! Bonus points for pictures.

This is my little boy, Dexter. He's a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel/Boston Terrier mix and he is so hilarious and adorable. 

6. If you could put together one outfit that represents you perfectly, what would it be?

I would love to stay it's a nice pretty dress and some cute shoes but in all honesty, I am most comfortable in a pair of leggings, a loose top and a cute pair of flats. I don't even care how plain jane that is! It used to be loose jeans, Toms, and a band tee - so I've made a real improvement as far as I'm concerned. 

7. What is your favorite adult beverage?

A good ole fashioned beer. I know, I'm so boring! But actually also I really like Singapore Slings which can be made all sorts of ways but my favourite is like how the Shirley Temple is made - orange juice, grenadine, lime juice, soda and gin. Garnished with a cherry!

8. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Guilty pleasures don't exist for me - I don't really care who knows what I listen to. But, I suppose for the sake of the question, the most embarrassing thing I listen to is probably Justin Timberlake. Except I just love him and I am in no way embarrassed at all that I'm obsessed with him.

9. What are 3 positive words to describe you?

Positive, happy and silly? Does silly count?

10. What is your favorite Friday afternoon/evening activity?

I don't really do much on the weekends besides hang out with Josie and Jesse. Which is a fun activity on it's own. I like when we have a bbq or a fire. Recently Jesse and I started taking bike rides and I really enjoy that. Sometimes, a friend will come over and we'll play cards or something. Yes, I lead a very exciting life.

11. A day in the life: What does you typical day look like?

I still sleep in, despite being a Mom. I'm not proud of it. So my day usually starts at 8:30-9, sometimes I wake Josie up, sometimes she wakes me up. We have breakfast and watch Disney Jr while I publish my blog post for the day, read my blog roll and drink my tea. Then if the weather is nice we take a walk, usually to Tim Hortons. By 12 or 1 it's lunch time for Josie so we come home and eat and then it's nap time! My mom is home by then (Yes, my mom lives with us and we love it), so I have time to leave and get things done if I want to. Lately, I've been biking to go to the post office, the bank, etc. But most of the time we walk after Josie's nap. I can be found cleaning, sewing, or just relaxing during Josie's nap. Then it's dinner and Jesse comes home. After that I'm either working on blog posts, baking, playing with Josie etc. Most of the time I'm playing in Josie's room, giving her a tubby, taking her for another walk. Then it's bed time for Josie around 8pm and then if Jesse is not out with friends or we have company we usually just watch a show or a movie and then go to bed. 

12. If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

I honestly wouldn't. I love where I live. But I guess I'd live closer to Toronto if I were to move anywhere. Not in Toronto, but closer. So it would be easier to travel into the city for concerts and shopping.

13. You've got a whole day to yourself...what will you do?

Sleep in. Really late. I love to sleep. Then I'd probably have a big breakfast with Jesse, like an omelet and bacon with fruit and toast and tea. Mmm. Then I'd probably just hang out with Josie - I'm even kidding, I can't go one day without Josie she's my best friend. But I'd also like to take a nice long bath. If my options were endless I'd have to say I'd spend the entire day with Becky because I miss her so much and wish she was here. 

14. Dream job?

Owning my own cafe and bakery downtown. Ultimately, being self employed.

15. Least favorite chore?

Washing the dishes. UGHHHHH. - This was Kaelah's answer but I'm leaving this here because it's so true.

16. When do you most feel like a rock star?

After I cook a really spectacular meal and everyone likes it, or after I complete a project.

17. What is something you are currently trying to improve within yourself?

My wardrobe but most importantly, my self confidence. I've always fretted over my weight or how I look but this year I've really improved the way I look at myself. Revamped my entire wardrobe which really helped because I feel more comfortable now which makes me feel more pretty. And even though I am more comfortable being plus sized now, I still pay more attention to what I'm eating and my exercise too. Overall I'd rather just be healthy than concentrate on just being thinner.
