GUEST POST // DETOX DRINK RECIPE


Now that I'm getting past the "college years" age, I've been trying to eat and drink healthier. I pretty much only drink water... all day, every day. It makes me feel hydrated and happy, but it can get reeeally boring. So lately, I've been trying to find new ways to add a little flavor to my drink of choice. Today, I made this delicious minty drink and the flavor is just as amazing as the health benefits!

Simple ingredients:
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 limes
  • mint leaves
  • filtered water

Preparation: 

Just slice up the fruits and veggie and combine them with several mint leaves in a pitcher of filtered water. Drink daily to flush fat and toxins out of your body!


The benefits of these fabulous foods:

*Lemons have a calming effect that helps relieve tension, fatigue, and anxiety. They are also packed with vitamin C to boost your immune system.

*Limes promote healthy digestion and contain citric acid which is a natural inhibitor of kidney stones. 

*Cucumbers have high water content and dietary fiber which aid in weight loss and help rid your body of toxins.

*Mint soothes your digestive tract and cleanses your stomach.

Tastes good. Feels good!

  2. I might have to try this... I keep seeing things about detox drinks, but I have yet to try one and see what it's like. Maybe I'll give it a go!
