PRODUCT REVIEW | DOTTIE Q

A couple weeks ago, Dottie Q asked me if I would do a product review for her Etsy shop, and I quickly obliged. I was really excited for a couple reasons. One, because it's my very first product review (aside from promoting my lovely friend Ali). Second, I LOVE scarves but have never owned a crocheted one. Thirdly, her flippin' real name is Dottie Quick! What a bad ass name.

Anyways, it wasn't easy choosing a colour, she has quite the selection, but, with my current obsession with ugly yellow, I chose an Eternity Scarf in mustard. It comes in a variety of other really beautiful colours too, like walnut, dusk blue and poppy. 

Even though I was really excited for this opportunity, I was a bit sceptical because I don't often wear accessories that are knit or wool because it makes me very itchy. But, Dottie uses organic cotton and it's very soft and smooth. And the best part is, this scarf is vegan and eco friendly!

I'm really glad I picked mustard yellow because it pairs really well with this black skater dress and I also own a lot of heather grey and navy blue items that look so pretty with yellow. It's also not that bad in warm weather either - today was a high of 22 degrees C (71.6 F) and it was comfortable, but still warm enough to help you bundle up come Autumn! And if you're not into big cowls or scarves in the summer she makes these really neat scarf necklaces that would be perfect for summer weather.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Dottie Q scarves. They're chic and modern while still being soooo cozy and comfortable. And most importantly, organic and eco friendly! The only downfall is that the scarf leaves fuzzies on black (see below). Which isn't even really a downfall, as this is common in a lot of items. I'll just have to get out the ole lint roller when I wear it, no big deal.
