Photos :: A Special Visitor

The other day we were about to take our afternoon walk and noticed we had a tiny little visitor in our front yard: A baby Canadian Goose!

 He was so fuzzy and cute! He let me get pretty close to take a few photos, but I didn't want to get too close or touch him because if the mother found him smelling unfamiliar she would have abandon him. So we just watched him a bit while he wandered around the neighbourhood.

Every time he would walk up to a curb he would fall off of it. It was so cute, he was so clumsy. After about 20 minutes he started to seem pretty frightened about me following him so we called my mom's friend that does the Wildlife Management in our area but unfortunately he isn't able to handle birds. So we kind of shooed him to the direction of the beach and carried on our walk. I really hope he found his flock, poor little guy didn't know what to do!

  1. Love these pics! I live on a small lake in Vermont and we hear the geese all the time!
