8 Things That Should Happen On New Girl This Season

via
September is my favourite month of the year for numerous reasons, the most obvious being that's its my birth month and the beginning of Autumn. But, the second best part has to be the Fall line up for television. The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine Nine, etc. My favourite sitcom ever is New Girl though, is coming back tonight so I've compiled a list (because who doesn't love a completely unnecessary list?) of events I think need to take place this season:

Nick needs a win. Nick is my favourite character for so many reasons. He is ridiculously handsome, he's the funniest on the show, but also the realist. Almost anyone can relate to Nick, especially with his ability to mess up. Nick's life always seems to be turned upside down. So whether it be a new girl, or working towards a career finally, it would be really interesting to see him have a win this season.

Coach or Winston should have a love interest. First of all, can we just all get excited about the fact that Happy Endings was cancelled so that Coach could come back to New Girl? (Okay, I watched Happy Endings.. but it's cancellation was necessary.) His character is so great and I'm hoping to see him fall for someone this season, and if not him, Winston should! I think Winston is so cute when he's in a relationship - even though his weird behavior when he's single is more entertaining.

Elizabeth should have closure. Elizabeth was never the right girl for Schmidt, but I love Merritt Wever and she needs to come back on the show at least for one more episode. It would be cool if Schmidt ran into her and she finally gets closure about his indiscretions.

Jess' parents need an appearance. No reason really, except for that Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner are the shit.

Winston should become a cop. If they don't pursue this plot line I will be deeply disappointed. Plus, how interesting would it be to watch Winston handle his first few days on the job? The comedian possibilities are endless.

More Tran Please! Tran has been my favourite thing to happen on the show since season one. There's so many duplicate plot lines on all sit coms but Tran seems to be the first of his kind, that I'm aware of anyway. Nick needs that person outside of the group to confide in, and it's just hilarious that he chose an old dude at the park. Tran should appear at an event or house party as Nick's guest, just once.

Someone should move out of the loft. I know it hurts to say it, but we all know it has to happen. There's too much going on, and they can't all live in that 4 bedroom loft. Now that Nick and Jess aren't together, there's bound to be some confrontation. And we all know Nick and Schmidt will kill each other sharing that room. It's hard to choose who should move out, but it would make for a good story.
Cece needs more character development. I love Cece. I was so happy to see her face on episode one because she used to be a Muchmusic VJ, and was pleasantly surprised to find how good she was in a sitcom. But, let's face it. We don't know much about Cece and it would be really cool to find out more about her, or for something big to happen to her in Season 4. Or maybe now that the models don't fill up Cece's apartment, Jess could be the one to move from the loft and into her best friend's place?

Do you watch New Girl? What are you interested in seeing happening?
Are there any shows you're looking forward to in the Fall?
