I'm not a very big fan of hot beverages, but I do enjoy the odd caffeinated drink from time to time. Here's a really simple way to make iced mochas from three things you probably have in your kitchen already. This is especially handy when you brew a pot of coffee and don't want to waste what you didn't drink.
Iced Mocha
Freshly brewed pot of coffee
Skimmed or Almond milk
Sweetener of your choice
Chocolate syrup
Ice tray
♥ Brew your pot of coffee, let it cool and fill an ice tray. Add sweetener to remaining warm coffee and stir until dissolved. I used 2 teaspoons of white sugar for every cup of coffee, but you can use whatever sweetener your prefer to your taste. Let coffee cubes freeze completely while you're waiting for the rest of the coffee to chill in the fridge.
♥ Once cubes are frozen and coffee is chilled, you can make your mocha! Here's what I did for one glass:
1/3 cup coffee, 1 tbsp chocolate syrup, 3 coffee cubes, 3/4 cup milk
♥ Pour the coffee and chocolate syrup into glass, and stir until well mixed. Add milk while stirring to completely mix the syrup up, then add coffee cubes. Add more syrup and/or coffee to taste if you prefer.
♥ For an extra added treat, add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream!
Happy Monday, and enjoy your iced mocha! xo
Yum, sounds like a tasty way to make an iced mocha!
ReplyDeleteAnd really simple! I kind of wish I made a raspberry syrup for it too.
