October In Review

Well, here it is! November has begun, or as I like to call it - CHRISTMAS TIME!!!

Don't get me wrong, Halloween is obviously the best time of year, but I can't help but morph into a little Christmas elf as soon as November hits. We've already been blessed with a tiny bit of snow today! I'm so excited because this will be the first year Josie will actually be excited for, and appreciate, Christmas. Before I dive head first into Gift ideas and Holiday decor and all the yummy Christmas treat recipes, let's recap October. And boy, it was a good one! Here's what we've been up to this month:

Jesse's Dad came to visit! George and his partner, Uschi, moved to New Brunswick a few years back (where George was born and raised) so it's always really great seeing them! Josie had so much fun with her Pa Pere and Oma, and we got to catch up on a lot.

Josie is forming sentences. That's right - real sentences. She's also so close to potty training. So proud of my girl! It's funny the things you get really giddy about when you have children, haha!

Jesse's been getting the house ready for Christmas. He's already put the outdoor lights up. I can't wait to start decorating.

Sonic Highways. As a big, big fan of Dave Grohl and everything he does, it's an understatement to say I was eager to start watching his new HBO series, Sonic Highways. It's on it's third episode, and so far its amazing. Each episode focuses on one city in the US and goes deep into the musical history of each place and how it's influenced music in general, and how its influenced Dave in his career. It's absolutely amazing learning about where everything came from. I love everything music history related so this show has been really important to me. I'm so excited for Dave and the Foo Fighters, and I'm so proud of them.

Music Mondays. Speaking of music, I have to mention how happy I am to be doing a new series called Music Mondays, where each week I share a band or artist that is speaking to me lately. I already have a few planned out. I could talk about music until your brains explode.

Here's my favourite posts from October:

Autumn Transitions
Good Habits For Healthy Nails
Loaded Nacho Potato Skins
Honey & Anchor
HiBerry Farm

Hope your October was as good as mine, and here's to a great November!
