I can't even begin to tell you how fuggin' hot it's been here lately! It was actually on the colder side for the most part of June, so I was hoping for a little heat on the day of the Luau party. But what we got, I cannot even describe. I felt like I was cooking. It made everyone moody, especially me. So, taking outfit photos, especially after spending hours of decorating, was basically the last thing I wanted to do. I decided to anyway, despite my bitch face and uncomfortable poses. We all have our days, right?
I love when you can find pretty dresses at Walmart, because they are good quality and you don't have to break the bank for one. I bought this dress way before the Luau, but, because my pineapple dress from Modcloth hadn't made it to my mailbox in time, I figured it was the perfect substitute. It's also nice and flowy so I didn't feel like I was dying in the heat. This was my first hi-lo dress and I must say, I understand the hype. It's so cute!
Dress // Walmart
Belt // Modcloth (off old dress)
Shoes // Ardene
Hair clip // Borrowed
The weather has cooled down a bit today, so hopefully I have enough motivation to go downtown for the festivities tonight, if it doesn't storm! Happy Canada Day everyone! xo
