July In Review

July has been... unfavourable for me, to say the least. Although some really good things happened, it just seems like I've been really pushing on the days and weeks this month trying to get by. Maybe I'm just in a fog but I really haven't been myself. You may have noticed already, my blog has been kind of a ghost town. Trust me it wasn't for lack of interest, it mostly is just from a general distaste for everything. One of the things that helps me when I'm blue like this is to bake, which coincidentally ended up being pretty much the only thing I blogged about in the past few weeks. I'm glad July is drawing to a close now, so I can shake it off and focus on my blog again.

Here's what we were up to in July:
♥ I hopped over the fenced I had been on and finally changed my blog name.
♥ My sister Cherie and her 4 month old son, Torin, moved in. It's been a very busy and crowded couple of weeks, but I wouldn't change it for the world!
♥ One of my oldest friends, Ally, gave birth to her second daughter, Maddison. She's an absolute rose.
♥ Jesse and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary!
♥ A giant clusterfuck prevented us from seeing Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden.. I hate my life.
♥ Josie had her first beach day! Surprisingly, as we live on Lake Huron, I just hadn't gotten around to bringing her last summer.

Watching and Listening:
♥ The 100 - Been on the hunt for new shows to watch, this one was number one. Very Lord of the Flies type show, over all pretty good.
♥ Tammy - Went on a BFF date with Carrie, and I think we would both go again multiple times except we'd tire of peeing our pants from laughing so hard.
♥ Hemlock Grove - I can't tear myself away from this show. I'm now watching it for the second time because, of course, I had to get Carrie hooked. Those damn Skarsgard brothers ~fans self~
♥ Kings Of Leon // Mechanical Bull - this album came out forever ago but I just can't seem to turn it off. We're seeing them again in August and I can't friggin' wait.

My favourite posts from July:
